ryte. so the 1st day of raye, my father being the elders in his family, [ grandparents no longer around. =.( ] relative from my father's side came over. kecoh la satu rumah. air tumpah sane, kueh jatoh sini. mcm2 la. and as usual, the had their 1st meal of the day over at my huse. after much kecohan, it was the moment..



session bermaaf-maafan la. ape lagi. and of coz, i cried. i was very remorseful ok?! up next was the picture taking. kinda not a good tyming coz the gembeng once will be trying very hard to stop crying & make-up will be smudged & all. u gals feel me ryte?

nevertheless, cameras with eye-blinding flashes got the better of us & pictures we snapped.

after all the ehem.. paparazzi moments has died out, we headed off to nyai's huse! this nyai is the one on momsie's side. so we taxi-ed there. not far la. jus $4 worth of journey excluded the $1 xtra charge. [ nk bikin duit je tau apek2 ni. chis! ]

about and hr plus "chilling" at nyai's house, we proceed to my old neighbourhood to visit another elderly.

after the bukit batok huse, 2 more houses and that's it. 6 houses in one day & all of us pancit alredy. and like FeE, i too have no idea how we use to manage to cover like at least 10-12 houses in a day. HAH!

i guess that's about it. i'll blog about the other raya days another time ok people. ryte now, me nid sleep. me very sweepy.. *snore*

instead of the normal yada-yada routine of going to geylang during malam raye, my love and me escaped from all the homo-sapians [ like wat amalina will label them ] and enjoyed the free-from-homosapians environment. come to think of it, they're like the haza la. pollutes the environment. =p

we sat down over at the Fountain of Wealth and had my cravings - SUSHI!!!

kebetulan Carrefour was having a promo on sushi. [ mcm tau je aku craving for sushi. hehe. ] ilang kempunan aku. hoho. aduh aku ni, da mcm orang mengadung plak. there, we mintak maaf, jiwang2 sikit and i cried bile mntk maaf dgn the boi. hurhur.. btol nye remorse eh aku?

before heading to suntec, we took a de-tour to Kampong Glam's " Suria Raya Karnival ". obviously i wasnt there to watch the concert. err, actually i wanted to la but considering the place will be jam packed with makchicks makciks and homosapians, i think i better give it a miss. tk pegi pon tkpe..tk rugi..

where was i. oh ryte. i wasnt there to watch the concert but to purchase sampul duit. not me la. my love wanted it so biase jgk. membontot je la aku. lol. oh ya. bumped into my cuzzin at the MRT. was wating for his fren.

earlier during the day, i continued with the kemasan of my living room & at about 11 plus the sofa set arrived!!

ard 4 plus lyk tat, headed to J.E to purchase a last mintue decision thingy and flowers. damn i felt so mother-like. no no. more like nyonya-like seh. u noe,the ones who goes to the market and buy flowers and holding it in one hand and anoder hand occupied with plastic bags filled with god-noes-wat. took the bus hume some more. btol nye muke tebal btol aku. usually i wudnt want to go ALONE and buy flowers and carry PLASTIC bags hum. [ the furtherest i can go with PLASTIC bags is the market. HAH! ]

but kentot aku wangi agaknye nari so i went from a lady to a nyonya. tsk tsk.

oh ya. the boi came over for break fast today. and he complimented on my momsie's ayam grg basah, serondeng & kuah satay. nk angkat2 mak aku la tu. tee-hee. oh ya, remember about the " Flourless CHOCOLATE cake " that he was checking up on? the one i was toking about in my previous entry? yes? well, here it is.



he baked it and presented it to us. so sweet of u baby. =) still waiting for ur eclairs hor.. [ correct spelling? ] nk rase sikit? DTG UMA. hoho.



and lastly, that's my mp4. =) just a tinsy-winsy problem. i cant seem to put videos in it. anyone noes how to load it? i've tried videos with MPEG, AVI, MPEG-4 formats, but NOTHING seems to work. help! anyone?

ryte this moment, the boi is checking on his "Flourless CHOCOLATE Cake" =) and he's giving it to me! not all la. half or part of it la. for raye. =) how sweet. mcm ni la menantu tercontoh.. NOT!

had a long day for last resort spring cleaning. we, [ me, mom & dad ] washed the kitchen. up next was momsie's room. she hung up the ready-made curtains and fitted the crispy, out of the package bedsheets. i, on the other hand took a full 3 hours nap. [ so much for a nap huh? ] when i woke up, i then started spring cleaning MY room. i dun nid momsie to help me alredy coz i think im old enuff to change a fresh new piece of bedsheet all on my own now, am i?

my roomis now done. EXCEPT for this particular wardrobe filled with bedsheets & curtains and other cloth related syuff. that is momsie task. lol.

so here i am, many2 hrs later. resting my body from the long hard day. i just finished watching an hindustan movie -

my weekends was crazily occupied with baking cookies. one week to go to Hari Raya and lots of other stuffs have yet to be completed. momsie and me were rushing against tym and she told me way before the weekends came that we DIE DIE also must get it done and over with the goodies by the weekends..

yes ma'am..

and so i thought it wud be a mission impossible for the both if us but HAH! i was damn wrong. 4 cookies on saturday and 2 on sunday. its possible afterall. =) 4 sounds little you say? ask ur mom if baking 4 kinds of cookies in ONE day is amazing or not. ;)

momsie & i slogged our hearts out. sweat trickling down our forehead and face.. dun wory now, not even a drop dropped into the mixture, thank god! =p

on the saturday, momsie & i started from 11 plus [ that was wen we did a weeabit of conter-check shopping to get any stuff that's needed for THE mission. we dragged all the way till' 2 in the morning which drained out even ounce of energy left in our lembek body. we both agreed that we were too tired to be waking up at 4 plus in the morning just to eat so we sahur first before drifting to tokyo bed.

momsie dgn smangatnye said that she will wake up at 5 to gulp down a glass of water. puit.. smangat nk minum ke mane. smagnat nk tdo ke mane. haha.

oh ya. on that very same day, me & momsie became handywomen and pasted borders. nice or not i dunno but since she's happy then i guess i'll just be happy oso la.

On Saturday we baked :


1. Biskut Peanut Butter

2. Cornflakes

3. Biskut Oat
4. Kueh Tart

and how did i contribute to the mission?

1. i did this cookie ALL ON MY OWN!!! SUMPAH!
2. mix the ingredients together and scooped it into the cups. momsie scooped also.
3. i only did the mixture but momsie did the rest.
4. this kueh is HER kueh so she did everything except the putting of tart fillings. and u shud noe who did the tart filling, don't u? *winks*


On Sunday we baked :


1. Kueh Dahlia
2. Popiah Kecik2

1. i did EVERYTHING and again i SUMPAH! momsie was alsp the whole time coz she was down with a major headache.
2. i peeled the kulit popiah and rolled some popiahs too. =)

Boycott RACIST Tommy Hilfiger

Got this in my mail. i just HATE racisim!

Sad that this still happens..
I'm sure many of you watched the recent taping of the Oprah Winfrey show in Chicago where her guest was Tommy Hilfiger.

On the show, she asked him if the statements he was accused of saying were true [ regarding race. ] Statements such as "If I'd known African-Americans, Hispanics, Jews and Asians would buy my clothes, I would NOT have made them so nice. I wish these people would NOT buy my clothes, as they are made for upper class white people."

His answer to Oprah was a simple "YES".

She immediately asked him to leave her show. A suggestion? Let him get what he asked for. Let's not buy his clothes, let's put him in a financial state where he himself will not be able to afford the ridiculous prices he puts on his clothes. Spread this message to anyone you know. Spread it to the whole community and see the result. Stop buying all range of Hillfiger products, perfume, cosmetics,clothes, bags etc.

Following on with the racism theme, the scene below took place on a BA flight between Johannesburg and London.A white woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a black man. Obviously disturbed by this, she called the Air Hostess.

" Ma'm, what is the matter? " the hostess asked.

" You obviously do not see it then? " she responded. " You placed me next to a black man. I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat. "

"Please Ma'm, be calm. " the hostess replied. "Almost all the seats on this flight are taken. I will check if another place is available. "

The Hostess went away and then came back a few minutes later..

" Madam, just as I thought, there are no other available seats in economy class. I spoke to the captain and he informed me that there is one seat in first class. "

Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued;

"It is unusual for our company to permit someone from the economy class to sit in first class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so disgusting."

She then turned to the black man, and said;

" Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits you in first class. "

At that moment, the other passengers who were shocked by what they had been witnessing, stood up and applauded.

This is a true story. If you are against racism, spread it.

earlier, headed to IMM to do a wee-abit of shopping. my aunt tagged along. purchased the wall border [ is that how u spell it? hmm.. ] the hot water dispenser and neckless. [ i noe.. i noe.. not relevent ryte. but it's VERY relevent to me. hah! ] if u're wondering about the sofa, its been purchased WAY before puase started. head start la konon nye. lol.

cant wait to start baking raya cookies.
maybe i'll bake one on my own just to impress my chef to be.. *dreaming*

RIGGHHHTTT..

a BLAST-ful day it was. breaking fast with my frenz and not forgeting my love is a joy. laughter is a must and we sure had LOTS & LOTS of it. =)

the day statred with me being very VERY forgetful!



during lunch [ obviously i stayed in the lab la. ] i took out my wallet, work pass & camey & placed it on this shelf. and yes, i snap abit. haha. ten i leave it there. i reminded myself not to forget to take it when i go home. gedebak gebeduk da kol 6.. seeing that my fren has left, i, w/o hesitant dash for my beg, strip out of my lab coat and rush for the company's bus.

am i missing something here? aha!

so i took the bus and alighted at commonwealth MRT station. walked up the escalator and digged my beg for my wallet. jeng3.. [ ni part la aku maki hamon diri sndri. mengamok skejap aku. ] i TOTALLY forgot about my stuff on the shelf. having no other choice, i HAD to U-turn back to work. *sigh*

im not usually this forgetful hor. maybe becoz of the haze la. lol.



so, as u all wud haf predicted, i arrived at the designated place 1 hr LATE. [ i think ] the 1st thing i did was to gulp down a glass of water. damn it felt so guuudd. =) ten i jama see-foot hor-fun. cudn't even finish it se. my stomach come in air already. so i ate like 1/3 or 1/4 of it. =( oh ya, b4 i forget, RUIZMAN - many2 tanx for the meal. =)

ryte now, while im writing this very entry, im sitting on a unbalance, anytime-can-break stool and literally scibbling this entry against a " Heavy Duty, Super Capacity " dryer while waiting for my washing to be done.

yes, i'm at work. NO. i dun work in a dhoby/laundry shop.

work has been pretty easy today thanks to this temporary manpower who came & help out. one word to describe him - sombong. like at least say hello or introduce himself la. [ i think grinch is way more friendlier then him. hah! ]

and fyi, im not stealing bone [ * its a malay term. im translating it. ] ok! i dun haf anything else to do except to wash, err.. wash and umm, wash some more! it gets tiring sometimes, the waiting i mean. it so time-consuming plus, it's very water wasting!! serious! k picture this, ur washing machine 3/4 full of water and its washing only 1* mere piece of cloth! ONE!!!

wateva. im here to work. not to check on how much water they waste everyday. [ but smtimes i do get angry coz they're wasting SO MUCH WATER! ]



oh great! the 1st washing is done. 1 washing down, 1 is still washing that leaves me.. 9 more washings to go. bye2 precious water. =.(

of coz i did some other things la while waiting. i actually stopped writting at the "*" sign and cont'd back only 1 1/2 hrs later. hah!
